#5: Good, Evil and Comic Books

by Eric Elkin

Comic books reflect our understanding of good and evil. In the comic books of my youth, good and evil were presented as simple and clear cut issues. Good people were moral, strong and always won. Bad people did nothing good. Today, comic book good and evil are much more complicated issues, but it better reflects reality.

I asked a comic book enthusiast to help me understand the transition. From this conversation I hope to discover a better understanding of good and evil.
